Today I want to talk a little bit about CPA marketing, short for cost per action. CPA marketing is very powerful and a great way to build a solid home income system that is capable of making anyone with an internet connection a very substantial amount of money.
Basically the goal of CPA marketing is to get someone to fill out an order form and give their credit card information to a company in return for a trial offer of a product. Normally the customer only has to pay a small fee for shipping, often less than five dollars. The company then ships the product to the customer and then the catch comes in. If the customer does nothing else, the company usually charges an additional amount of money to the credit card and also signs the customer up for a regular shipment of the product and a monthly billing cycle.
The customer can stop this by either sending the product back and cancelling the subscription within a predetermined amount of time or they are often allowed to keep the product but they still need to call a number and cancel or their credit card will continue to get charged. The companies do not make it easy to cancel though. From the time that you get the product in the mail to the time that you have to cancel is purposely make very short, so the company usually gets to charge the customer at least one time.
This might sound like a deceitful practice, and is definitely in the gray area, but the fact remains that all customers are clearly given the terms of agreement before they submit their credit card information. If they are too busy or do not take the time to read it, is that not their own fault?
This type of marketing makes for a very lucrative home revenue system for you and I though. These offers normally convert very well due to the fact that there is very little up front cost and people usually do not read the fine print. Conversions of one per fifteen to twenty visitors is very doable with CPA marketing. And with a CPA conversion netting you anywhere from twenty five to fifty dollars, you can see how it is possible to make a lot of money from home doing this.
I personally market CPA offers using SEO. There are definitely some disadvantages to this, mainly being time and the unpredictability of the great Google. I like it though because it is safe and there is no chance of losing money, only wasted time. Playing it safe might be one of the reasons that I am not rich off of doing this yet but at least I have not gone broke either.
The real way to make money is either with ppc or ppv CPA marketing. That is where the big bucks are at. That is also where the risk is at as well though. There are people easily making a thousand dollars a day with paid marketing to CPA offers. If you are going to venture into either ppc or ppv then I highly suggest you find a mentor or a really good course, and you also need a couple thousand dollars to start out with because you will lose money before you figure it out.
Lastly there is one other thing about CPA marketing I should mention. You have to get accepted by a company before you can start to market there CPA offers, and this is not always easy. Some companies are very exclusive and do not accept anyone without a referral from one of their big earners. Most companies though will accept you if you are legit, know what you are talking about, and can show them a decent looking website. You really just need to apply and then call them up a little later and talk to them. They really just want to know that you are not going to be doing blackhat stuff like paying people to fill out your offers and crap like that.
CPA marketing can be very lucrative and it is what I am trying to focus on now. Good luck in your journey.
